Swim Meet Day 2
So, second day of the swim meet. It started off good, when I won a competition and got a Coke. There were no relays today, but I still had to wait a while before I had my first race, the 100 free. I did well, winning my heat and shaving off a lot of time from my previous time. The other ones went well too, I won one more of my heats. I shaved off a lot of time on all of them. I almost got B times on them too. It's frustrating, being so close and not getting it. I think I'm going to get them at the next meet in three weeks.

Swim Meet Day 1
OK, so today I went to my third swim meet since I started swimming for my team. I was in a relay, but we came in last. I was the anchor. Other than that, I was in three individual events. I did a 50 breast stroke, where I almost got B time, a 50 back, and a 50 free. It was a very easy meet for me, I usually have to do harder events. The meet lasts for two days, so I'm going back tomorrow. I have to do a 100 free, 50 fly, 100 back and a 100 IM. I think those will be harder.

Silver Dollar City
Maybe you guys are wondering what I did last weekend? Well, I went to a theme park in Missouri, and as you probably guessed, it was called Silver Dollar City. It's really big, but it doesn't have many rides. The ones it does have, however, are awesome. I went on a roller coaster where you go upside down for the first time, and loved it. It was called the Wildfire. It has a fairly big drop and a lot of loops. There where two other big roller coasters. My sister chickened out on all of them except one. But that one had no big drops or loops, but was still pretty fun. That was called the Thunderation. The last one, and the most scary, is called the Powder Keg. Its really fast, but only has one loop, but a lot of big drops. There were other ones, but they were really slow, and more like exhibits than roller coasters.

Jazz Band
Most middle schools have a concert band. I'm in the concert band, I play trombone. But now, my band teacher, Mr. L started a Jazz band. By the way, Mr. L is the best band instructor ever! Okay, so I'm in the Jazz band! You didn't really have to audition, but he did cut out a couple people who weren't trying. Its a huge Jazz band. We have five alto saxophones, two tenor, one barri , eight trombones, six trumpets, one acoustic guitar, one electric, two bass, two piano players, one drum set player and two auxiliary players. So, you see it is a big band. We had our first rehearsal yesterday. Sixth graders where in the doorway between the band room and the band locker rooms with their mouths open. You know how satisfying that is?

Bully fish
Okay, Delta died. I have no idea why, but he did. So we got a new fish named Syan. He's a big purple guppy. And he's a bully. Within one day, my first fish, Delray was hiding under the fake rock thing with about half his tail missing. It was probably Syan, but it could have been the filter. Syan's getting all the food because Delray's too scared to come out. I'll give it a few more days, but Syan may have to go. We're gonna take him back to the pet store and get a new, non-aggressive fish.

Delray & Delta
OK, so your probably wondering what what the title means, so I'll tell you. Those are the names of my two new fish. My dad thought up Delray and my sister named the other one. We got Delray on Thursday, and we got Delta today. I have a five gallon tank, so we can only have three guppies, like Delray and Delta. Delray was pretty lonely the first couple days, so they instantly where friend, now they follow each other around. Delray wasn't eating for a couple days. My sister told me i needed to crumple up the flakes more, I did and he ate them. Delray is yellow and green with a big red tail. Delta is purple, yellow and red with a not as big red and yellow tail.

Racoon Fight
Last night, I was in the garage apartment playing video games with my friend Quinn when I heard barking, hissing squealing and my mom shouting "TEEGRA!" Teegra is our dog. He is a big boxer mix. He also has one eye. So, Quinn and I ran down the stairs to the front porch of my house, where we can barely see Teegra battling a raccoon. He was going at it so hard, he didn't come when my mom and I called. He usually does. There was a point in the fight when it sounded like Teegra was dying. He was squealing and moaning. But then he started barking again, so the fight wasn't over. I go over to the side of the porch just in time to see Teegra chasing the raccoon through the bushes. It got away and we don't know if it was rabid or not, but luckily Teegra has had his rabies shot. When we finally got him up on the porch, his muzzle was all bloody and it looked like he had almost had his one good eye slashed out (but luckily after mom cleaned his wounds, we found out it was just blood from another bite). He was OK, and seemed to be very pleased with himself.
